Lookalikes
For all that I adore Seiichi-rin, I have to admit that he looks pretty run-of-the-mill dad. As a result, finding lookalikes isn't the hardest thing in the world to do. Observe:

Kinomoto Fujitaka
Every time Fujitaka pops up in “Card Captor Sakura” (maybe ‘pops up’ isn’t the right phrase, the man is practically a main character), I couldn’t help comparing him to Seiichirou. Just look at the man’s face: brown eyes, pleasant disposition, brown hair that even parts in the exact same spot. I almost wonder if there wasn’t some recycling going on during the character designing for “Card Captor Sakura”. There are some slight physical differences, however. I noticed that Fujitaka has more chin than Seiichirou, and that Seiichirou looks maybe seven or eight years older. Nor are their personalities completely alike. For instance Seiichirou, for all of his harmony, can and does get angry. Yet, somehow I can’t conceive of Fujitaka getting angry over anything. Upset, yes; worried and fretful, yes; but mad? I don’t think it’s within his capacity. Fujitaka is softer and dreamier than Seiichirou, certainly. But they look so similar that it’s hard not to make a connection. You could almost say that Fujitaka is a younger version of Seiichirou, if only in looks.
