Tatsuki is known for her athletic prowess. Her specialty is karate; she has been training since she was little and is a member of the school karate club. She’s a 2nd level black belt (nidan), meaning that she has mastered and can use the basic techniques of the sport. At the national competitions she led her team to second place; she would have made first, if not for a broken arm and a daunting opponent. She has even taught Orihime a few moves, though Orihime still has a long way to go (heh).

Tatsuki puts her mad skills to use fighting zombies and a Hollow (and Chizuru) in Volume 5. She knocks each of her opponents out without breaking sweat, even demanding stronger guys to fight. When the Hollow catches her and critically wounds her, Tatsuki still refuses to give up; unable to hit or kick, she uses her teeth instead. Tatsuki’s fighting spirit is something fierce; she can hold her own in a fight, and once committed won’t give up.
